CEO - FOUNDER
I am a Nigerian-born Canadian citizen who arrived Canada in December of 2016 as a work permit holder, with my wife and two children.
I began my professional life as a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. I have had several work experiences in top multi-national companies – Mobil, Schlumberger, United Bank of Africa and Shell.
My longest period of work was as a Project Engineer for Shell Petroleum Development Company for 14 years, rising to the position of Project Interface Lead/Deputy Project Manager for the successful delivery of a $2 billion dollar Bonga North-West off-shore project.
Prior to entering Canada, I knew nobody in Canada and had to study Canadian immigration processes and procedures to fully understand what is expected of me and my family to make a successful application.
Upon entry, my wife was enrolled as a full time student at the University of Manitoba while I was on open work permit. We maintained our respective statuses until we obtained our permanent residency in 2019, followed by citizenship in 2023.
My personal experiences and challenges in navigating through the legal requirements and complexities of Canadian immigration processes form the context of my decision to assist others in their quest to live, study or work in Canada through any of the various immigration programs.
This decision led me to to further my immigration knowledge and experience by attending Queen’s University for my Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law, followed by founding of Remirena Immigration Services Inc. in 2024.
